Until you are fully scheduled with either Alana or Amber, you are not considered a client therefore you cannot rely on them to be your therapist or to make decisions as part of your treatment team. If something were to happen to you, we are not to be held responsible for any emails or texts that you send us in the interim of you reaching out to create an appointment. Risks
Entering into a therapeutic relationship can come with its own risks including but not limited to emotional discomfort, worsening of symptoms initially, relationship difficulties, financial costs, and the possibility of therapy not being effective or leading to dependency. Additionally, there's a risk of developing strong feelings for the therapist, though this is often a normal part of the process. If any of these arise, please talk to your counselor about it in order to come to some kind of resolution. There is a possibility that we may run into each other outside of therapy. If we see each other accidentally outside of the therapy office, we will not acknowledge you first. Your right to privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us, and we do not wish to jeopardize your privacy. However, if you acknowledge me first, we will be more than happy to speak briefly with you, but feel it appropriate not to engage in any lengthy discussions in public or outside of the therapy office.
Cancellation
We require you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, if you do not make it within the 24 hours, you will be charged the full agreed upon fee. If your appointment is on a Monday, you will have to cancel no later than 5PM on Friday. It will be your responsibility to reschedule with your counselor.
No Show
If you have 3 no-call, no-show’s for counseling, we will ultimately have to discontinue our therapeutic relationship. We will do our best to contact you in between them however, you cannot rely on us to do this. We will create a termination note in writing and send it to your email on file if this is the case.
Termination
We may terminate treatment after appropriate discussion with you and a termination process if we determine that the psychotherapy is not being effectively used or if you are in default on payment. We will not terminate the therapeutic relationship without first discussing and exploring the reasons and purpose of terminating.

DO NOT TEXT OR EMAIL US IF YOU ARE IN CRISIS OR EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY. You should follow the recommendations to call 911 or use other resources that you have at your disposal.
